Step into the role

Are you ready to ensure a smooth and quality-assured transition from product development to large-scale production? As a New Product Introduction Technician at MilDef, you will be part of the Pre-series line team – a key function that bridges the gap between R&D and series production. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with our rugged IT products for demanding environments, supporting a growing demand in a critical rearmament period. Together with your team, you’ll make sure that new products are introduced efficiently and without disruptions into our production line.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily operations in the Pre-series line, including assembly and quality control of small batches.
• Assemble and review products based on preliminary instructions provided by the R&D team.
• Summarize, analyze, and optimize assembly and quality instructions.
• Participate in troubleshooting of new product design issues.
• Prioritize incoming pre-series work orders and monitor timelines.
• Work continuously to improve quality and streamline processes and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product handover to production.

What you bring

• Technical education and/or relevant experience in product industrialization or new product development.
• Proven experience leading product, process, or equipment development projects in prototype or production settings.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing methodologies such as lean production and 5S.
• Interest in IT technology (computers, routers, switches) and keeping up with technical development.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Proficiency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken
