Group Compliance Officer
Step into the role
As Group Compliance Officer at MilDef, you work within the Legal and Compliance department and report to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.

For you as our Group Compliance Officer this gives great opportunities to engage in diverse and challenging compliance tasks throughout the organization, contributing to our sustainable growth journey and making a real difference to our business. Your main responsibility is to develop, ensure and manage MilDef's overarching compliance structure and central compliance processes.
You will work closely with the business and collaborate extensively across various functions within the organization. You will be involved in building MilDef's compliance organization and in the work of defining risks and needs, as well as establishing effective internal processes. The work includes implementing internal rules and procedures, driving change initiatives, monitor compliance, report deviations, and conduct training sessions to improve employee awareness and skills.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, ensure and manage MilDef's overarching compliance structure and organization, as well as central compliance processes.
- Design and deliver a comprehensive trade compliance program (ICP) and provide export advisory support on export classification and licenses.
- Ensure that MilDef has the internal rules, procedures, processes and systems necessary to secure compliance.
- Conduct regular internal audits and checks to monitor adherence to policies and regulations and implement corrective actions
- Identify skills development needs and plan and conduct training.
- Serve as a knowledge resource, inform and advise MilDef's management and employees.
- Drive and further develop processes and ensure continuous improvements within the compliance work.
- Ensure traceability, statistics and transparency through accurate documentation.
What you bring
- Have a strong ability to lead and manage change and implementation projects in a rapidly growing and developing environment.
- Be structured and analytical, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Work independently, prioritize effectively, and achieve set goals.
- Be humble with excellent communication and pedagogical skills.
- A strong business acumen combined with executional ability is essential.
- Have experience in corporate compliance areas such as export control, customs, sanctions, and GDPR.
- Be fluent in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
