Purchasing Manager
We are strengthening our procurement function and are looking for a Purchasing Manager to drive sourcing excellence and support our operational growth.

Step into the role
In the role of Purchasing Manager, you are responsible for developing and implementing local procurement strategies that ensure fast, cost-effective, and quality-driven purchasing. You will lead sourcing projects and negotiations to secure competitive costs, high quality, and reliable deliveries. By contributing procurement expertise at both strategic and tactical levels, you strengthen our category strategies and support continued business growth. The role also includes full personnel responsibility, where you are accountable for developing, supporting, and managing the team.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and analyze suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability to meet category and project needs.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and pricing to optimize total cost of ownership and secure continuity of supply.
- Ensure compliance too policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Manage non-conformance and performance issues by engaging cross functional team members.
- Establish policies, principles, procedures, goals and strategies of operation and development of the function.
- Oversee forecasting and demand planning, ensuring accurate alignment with business needs.
- Identify and execute cost-reduction initiatives, monitor market and pricing trends, and conduct cost and KPI analysis.
- Lead functional development, including personnel management, performance management, and capability building.
- Manage financial responsibilities, including annual budgeting and cost control.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or extensive experience within procurement and supply chain.
- 5+ years of purchase experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector, with a proven track record in supplier management and cost optimization.
- Strong leadership skills, including experience in team development, mentoring, training, career growth, and succession planning.
- High level of collaboration skills for effective cross-departmental cooperation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with purchasing digitalization, cost modeling, and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT) principles, and ERP/MRP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Swedish and English, Spoken and written.
