Step into the role

As a Configuration Manager in MilDef’s Solutions team, you will ensure accurate handling and traceability of products, components, and systems throughout their lifecycle. At Solutions, we build and deliver customized IT systems tailored to customer specifications. We turn their IT visions into reality by providing complete and robust infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing configuration management processes in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Working closely with R&D, production, logistics, and support teams, you will contribute to structured and controlled change management, ensuring quality and compliance. 

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain configuration management processes according to industry standards (e.g., ISO 10007, MIL-STD-973).
• Establish and manage configuration items (CIs) for hardware and software.
• Manage technical documentation and product configurations in PLM systems.
• Coordinate and administer Change Requests (CR), Change Notices (CN), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Conduct configuration reviews and ensure structured implementation of changes.
• Ensure traceability of configuration changes from design to delivery and maintenance.
• Collaborate with relevant functions within the company to ensure compliance with certifications and regulations, as well as uniform configuration processes.

What you bring

• At least three years of experience in configuration management within the defense, electronics, or manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of standards, regulations, and product lifecycle management.
• Experience working with PLM systems, ERP systems, and other configuration management tools.
• Ability to manage complex technical systems with a structured approach and strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
