Step into the role

As a Cyber Security Engineer in MilDef’s Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity measures across MilDef’s solutions. At Solutions, we build and deliver customized IT systems tailored to customer specifications. We turn their IT visions into reality by providing complete and robust infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to secure systems, networks, and applications while ensuring compliance with industry standards and defense requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for security-related documentation and supporting the accreditation process for systems and systems of systems (SoS).

The role requires a structured and security-focused mindset to ensure that MilDef’s solutions meet high cybersecurity standards and accreditation requirements. Your ability to assess risks, define security requirements, and ensure compliance with industry standards will be essential in strengthening MilDef’s cybersecurity posture

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement cybersecurity solutions for MilDef’s products and systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate threats.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate security best practices into product development.
• Monitor security incidents, provide incident response, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain security documentation, including risk assessments and security policies.
• Support accreditation processes and ensure compliance with security frameworks.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or penetration testing.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and secure system design.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, IAM, and accreditation processes for secure systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in both Swedish and English is required for this role
